Sandy Barbic has lived in Summit County for almost 40 years, originally coming to Ohio from New York State. She graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a BS in Biology Conservation. Since 2007 she has been the Education Specialist for Summit Soil and Water Conservation Distric . She also works at Harthfeed Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant. While at KSU she worked in the herbarium and the greenhouse.
