BEDFORD
Mayor Stan Koci and CIty Manager Mike Mallis will present the Bedford State of the City Address at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 29 at Ellenwood Center, 124 Ellenwood Avenue. The speech is free and open to the public. People can reserve and pay for a lunch that will be served at noon. HUDSON
The Hudson Society of Artists will present the 41st Annual Art on the Green from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27. The event will be at the JOANN Green, located at the corner of Terex Road and Ohio 91. Art on the Green is a juried fine arts and crafts show which features the works of more than 140 exhibitors. Categories include painting, sculpture, woodworking, jewelry, metalwork, photography, digital art, fiber arts and clothing, ceramics and pottery, glass works and more. Admission and parking are free. Food trucks will provide dining options. The Hudson Society of Artists promotes the arts in the community. Although the group is based in Hudson, there are no residency requirements for membership.
NORTH RANDALL
The city will hold its first annual Unity Fest, focusing on establishing unity in the community, on September 2. It will feature music, churches and pastors, social services and health and wellness initiatives and small business vendors. For more information and to be a vendor call 1-800-581-1059.
WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS
The city will host its Summer Festival from noon to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 and from noon to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20 at Green Road Park, 4501 Green Road. The event features a Children’s Village with face painting, a petting zoo and bounce houses. There will also be a beer and wine garden, food, entertainment and games in the park and musical acts on the main stage.
