DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your support of the annual Ohio Stormwater Conference. We have been watching COVID-19 closely because everyone’s safety is of the utmost priority to us. Based on everything that is occurring\, we are postponing the conference. \nThe new dates are August 26-28\, 2020 and will still take place at Kalahari Resorts and Conference Center in Sandusky. \n  \nWednesday\, August 26 will be set up \nThursday – Friday\, August 27 and 28\, will be the conference. \nI will transfer your exhibitor and booth information to the new dates. One thing they cannot do based on their system\, is cancel and get new reservations for rooms. DESCRIPTION:Platform Beer Co. is hosting Non-Profit Tuesdays this year\, and they might be the easiest Fundraiser you have ever seen. Show up on Tuesdays at any point\, order a house beer and they will donate $1 to a local cause. That’s it. \nOn November 6\, that local cause is Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners! We had to reschedule our Tuesday event to Wednesday so now its a “Tinker Wednesday”! \nThey will be donating a $1 from every beer sold from 3 pm to 12 am that day. DESCRIPTION:Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners (TCWP)\, the Cleveland Metroparks\, and Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District are teaming up this year to bring you a joint day of watershed education and stewardship again!\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCome join in on the fun at the 14th Watershed Festival this October 12th at the Hemlock Creek Picnic Area of the Bedford Reservation! The Festival is FREE and open to the public and will include fun activities for kids and adults too. Learn about your watershed and what you can do to help protect your water resources! \nSee how a tree is correctly and efficiently planted during our tree planting demos. There will be 200 trees to giveaway\, donated by Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District\, so don’t miss out on your chance for free trees! \nWin a hand painted rain barrel and installation kit at our rain barrel raffle! Tickets will be for sale until 2:30 PM\, when we will announce the winner.  \nCheck out what TCWP is doing to help your community and how you can volunteer with them! Help TCWP employees test the water quality and see what organisms we can find in the stream. Stop by our macroinvertebrate station to check out some of your local stream inhabitants and learn more about how you can protect these species! \nIf the temperature is right\, meet TCWP’s newest ambassador animal\, Tinker the Turtle! SUMMARY:Upper Dunham Reforestation Project at Bedford Reservation
DESCRIPTION:Help plant 800 trees! Holes will be pre-dug\, but may require some attention relative to each tree. Planting tools and materials will be provided. Please come prepared for the weather\, bring gloves\, water and a packed lunch. \nThere is no onsite or street parking for the public at the project location. Please park at the old Astrohurst Trailhead. You will be shuttled to the reforestation site which is about a mile away. The shuttle will run throughout the work day so that you can arrive later or leave early. Adults register here.
